baby has faint bruise and other symptoms.. could this be leukemia?
i noticed that my 17month old daughter has had this faint bruise on her back for the last 2 months and when i started researching online i came across symptoms for leukemia... she has had nose bleeds, she frequently holds her knees crying like she is in pain, she has night sweats and has been sick allot lately (like cold symptoms) and lots of fevers with no other symptoms that come and go... since it is the weekend i cant get her an appt until tomorrow so i am just wondering if anyone has experienced similar symptoms and does anyone know what bruises look like from leukemia (because hers is sooo faint) thanks
to the person who suggested i take her to the dr. ummm duh but it is the weekend so i was going to wait until tomorrow morning to call ... buuut the reason i posted a ? on here was simply for peace of mind... i was hoping that someone who say that her bruise is too light to be a worry :/
and thank you claudia... i will definitely be calling the dr. in the morning then... i just thought maybe i was being a hypocondriact (sp?) ugh

I would probably take the baby to the doctor, instead of guessing and asking laymen online. Best to go to a trusted physician.

The chance of her having leukemia is small. The bruise might be because she has delicate blood vessels and from lying down a lot it may be from compression. Also you can get fevers from simple infections, as her immune system isn't fully developed. She may just have a slight stomach infection or something. I wouldn't worry about leukemia yet, there are other smaller illnesses that need to be ruled out. Good luck.
Also, I thought that if it was leukemia the bruise would be getting worse and other bruises would be popping up in other places.
