Bone Marrow Biopsy?
My doctors think I might have leukemia, because my white and red blood cells are high. I can either wait a little longer and get another EPO test done, or I can expidite the process and go ahead and get a BMB now. What should I do? I'm leaning towards expiditing, but I'm worried that it's going to f*ck up my holidays (being in pain, not being able to do stuff with family, etc.). Should I opt for the EPO first?
I'm the only one that knows about it. i don't want to freak anyone out when nothing is certain.

Sorry.
Get the biopsy. This is going to dwell on everyone's mind. The earlier it's found out, the better. If the test comes back negative, everyone will just be relieved about the result.
Good luck.

You either have leukemia or you don't. And I don't know why any reputable doctor would even consider a bone marrow transplant if they don't know for sure. When you have leukemia, your white blood count goes up and your red blood count drops.
You would have to have chemo to kill off your immune system before they can do a transplant, and that takes about a month, and that's just for starters. I think you need to see an oncologist and find out what the problem is. Having the transplant will not prevent you from having leukemia either.

Left untreated leukemia (as many cancers) can be fast moving and fatal.
Don't wait. Get the biopsy and deal with whatever is handed to you . . good or bad, you need the information in order to know what to do next.
The holiday's can wait. My son has a rare cancer and has basically missed every holiday for two years. Big deal. Every day is a blessing.
Good luck and my hopes for you are that you are NOT dealing with leukemia.

Bone marrow biopsy is not going to ruin your holidays. You may be sore that day, but should be fine the next.
