Does Benzene cause Leukemia?

Does Benzene cause Leukemia?
My Gramma died from Leukemia earlier on this year. I'm wondering if exposure to Benzene caused this illness. If so, HOW do people get exposed to it?

Benzene is a proven carcinogen and can cause Leukemia. Problem being even if you had proven your Grandma had been exposed to it you would have a tough time proving the Benzene causes it since (I'm assuming) your grandmother was on the older side and had been exposed to countless things in her lifetime known to cause cancer.

It was found in a lake by my town growing up from seeping into the groundwater from a local laundry facility. If you find Benzene in the environment it is usually around a manufacturing plant of some sort, though things it used to be used for are now mostly replaced by less toxic chemicals.
