How long after being in remission with Leukemia can you be considered cancer free?
My fiance was diagnosed with Chronic Myloid Leukemia 3 years ago and was told in September 2006 he was in remission (no known cancer cells) and I want to know if he is in remission for a period of time, would he be considered cancer free?

Never cancer free, in remission, just means it is inactive. It is unlike other types and never goes away, sorry.

They say after 5 clean years, you can be considered cancer-free, but that amount of time can change with every case. Good luck to you both!

I don't know the answer to your question but I would like to put the word out to as many people as possible that electromagnetic fields are linked to cancer (including leukemia). I bought a gauss meter online and conducted tests in my home and my parents. To my dismay, I live near power lines and the meter showed that the EMF were in the dangerous ranges. Thankfully, I rent and am going to be moving soon.
