I am i 19 year old male nd was recently diagnosed with ALL (leukemia). Does anyone know the survival rates?
and how long the chemotherapy will usually last? I am currently on my first phase and my white blood cells dropped from 56 to 1.1 in just one treatment. Is this a good sign that I may be cured in a speedy way. I'm also waiting and praying to see if one of my siblings is a bone marrow match will will greatly improve my cure rates.
thanks paul, im pitty you despite myself being the one in this terrible situation.. to the rest of you thank you im trying hard to keep my head up and i know ill get through this.

the chances of you surviving is higher than say someone who is 50 years old. Just keep a positive attitude about this and you will come out on top.

Your chances are slim, if you were a horse race, you'd be the rank outsider.

Leukemia is a very curable disease in this day and age. You are young and can definitely beat it.

Your chances of survival are great especially if one of your siblings is a match for bone marrow transplant. My prayers are with you and your family. The length of chemo will be decided by your doctor.
