How much doe the leukemia&lymphoma society give $ $ for every dollar towards the cause and how much is put towards administrative costs, are the workers for this organization treated good. I feel all these factors are important when donating. How about you ???

If I want to know about a non-profit organization and how it uses the money it receives, I use Charity Navigator and Guide Star to find the information.
And yes, I agree, it is good to know about the organization and how it uses the money before I donate to it.

I usually donate to local charities because they tend to be 100% volunteer instead of nationwide charities (which have the executive and administrative costs you noted). If you want to check a national charity I use this website:http://www.charitynavigator.org/

I cannot comment on the specific charity that you mention but I fully understand where you are coming from. that is why I left the charity fundraising industry to start my own charity Aid4Egypt.
