Someone said that if a bone marrow biopsy hurts after wards means u dont have leukemia?


Someone said that if a bone marrow biopsy hurts after wards means u dont have leukemia?
A family member told me that if the bone marrow biopsy hurts after wards it means u dont have cancer.... is this true? I'm sure this is bogus but i wonder if it might be true.

I think someone is just trying to make you feel better. If your bones are hard it might hurt more too. The biopsy really depends on the person doing it.

A bone marrow biopsy is ALWAYS going to hurt during *and* after regardless of your cancer status. Its going to hurt because of how far into your tissue it has to go (major bruising), on top of the fact that you cant numb the bone. Also dont forget that it *is* technically an incision. Its very small, doesnt even need a stitch, but it is an incision.

Its a nice thought, but medically, no, its not true.

Not true....:) My bone marrow biopsy hurt like heck afterward and I still got the bad new...Well now I say good news because cancer changed my life for the better..If you need support I have a successful news letter which is completely free..I just like to give back..
