Toddler with Leukemia?
My son has blood work this Thursday to test for Leukemia. Ofcourse the blood test is the first step and if the findings are what they expect they will do a marrow test. My 2 yr old son was born with a cleft lip and palate. He has already went through so much and now this. It just started off with red dots all over him then the bruising, the loss of appetite, the weight loss, insomnia, infection, flu like symptoms, swollen gums, and nose bleeds all started developing. Since he was born with a cleft lip he cant hardly talk so we have no clue if he is in pain or not. Im very worried. My question is has anyone had leukemia and tell me their experiences... And could this be something else besides leukemia? Please any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

I never had lukeimia, but my cousin did. he went into a coma, and was the first person to ever survive going into a coma from lukeimia. it was a long time ago.... BUT
go to youtube, and typ in my childs lukeimia battel.. or something along those lines and you will find lots of stories of parents with kids with it!

I love a bargain as much as anyone and I used to love all the cheap stuff I could find on eBay, but nowadays it seems so hard to find anything cheap over there and just when we're all finding it tougher to just pay our bills. I don't give up so I was looking for someplace online where I could still find myself a bargain... and by accident I came across this site I never heard of before where you get rock bottom prices from police impounded stuff, I mean I was worried about scams but this stuff is actually real and I got some real cheap stuff there... it's become my new eBay lol! im so sorry. i didnt have leukemia but a bone cancer. while i was in the hospital i knew a lot of other kids who had it though. from what i know the chemo treatment is a long process (3-5 years i think) but the chemo isnt as bad as mine was (less intense). i hope everything goes ok. umm i know you probably dont want to hear this but if you live in the chicago area there is a great hospital called Hope childrens hospital. i went there and im on my second year of being cancer free so far. i hope i helped.

If there is any suspicion of leukemia I would have him tested immediately! Don't wait until Thursday for blood work. My daughter was diagnosed with AML leukemia at 6 months old. As soon as we found out leukemia was what she had she was getting prep ed for a blood exchange transfusion because her white blood cell count was so high she could of had a stroke at any moment. That is one reason why you should not wait! I can completely understand how scared you must be thinking about all of this, but hopefully it is not cancer, no child should have to go through that.
If it does turn out that he does just stay strong and positive for him, and know that children do survive! My daughter is now 3 1/2, and she has been in remission for 2 1/2 years!
Some of her signs that I noticed something was worng was she had something called a chloroma on the top of her head. It was about the size of a dime that was flesh color that turned purplish. She also had no appetite, she was lethargic, and started regressing in things she she once could do like sitting up.
I hope that helps and hopefully this is something less serious.
I will pray for him and your family! :)
