Oncologist (Cancer Doctor)
Leukemia is a type of cancer.
Leukemia is mostly genetic (inherited) so not much prevention, mostly treatment.

a hematologist
and then an oncologist

or someone who specializes in both

I would go to an oncoloist because leukemia is cancer of the blood or bone marrow.. No way to prevent it only get treatment for it. Some say exposure to radiation or certain chemicals, having down syndrome are more likely to get it. But being exposed to that stuff doesnt necessarily mean you will get it either. Hope this helps.

You can start with your regular doctor and then they can refer you to a a hematologist or an oncologist. Also a lot of hospitals now have Cancer centers.

There are specialized hematologist/oncologists that are specialized at these types of cancers
