When should I worry about petechiae? Leukemia?

When should I worry about petechiae? Leukemia?
I am 22 years old female. I started getting those little pin point red dots on both of my legs about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Not just a couple, but I had a lot. It almost cover my whole leg. My doctor said I has petechiae and they should usually go away in a couple days. He told me to have my blood drawn just in case its something else. Will the results came back last week and said I was okay, but was a little bit anemic. (could be due to the fact that I just had a baby 3 months ago) The doctor didn't worry much and just gave me a cortisone shot to help the inflammation. He told me to come back in a week. However today I noticed that the spots on my legs are fading away but now they are spreading towards my stomach and now I have them on both of my arms. Its seems like everything I check, there seems to be more and more. Should I be worried? I also have symptoms of fatigue, constant headaches/migraines, easily irritated, and waking up to shoulder/back pain. Again, could be due to my newborn keeping me busy. Please let me know if any one experience this. Thanks so much. I just need a little bit of reassurance.

Petechia is a symptom that could be as diverse as a headache. Anything could be the culprit. The fact this happened shortly after being pregnant, is accompanied by fatigue, headache, shoulder/back pain in the morning, and increase in petechial rash may be all a sign of an autoimmune disorder...especially if the doctor detected inflammation on a blood test. You may want to be screened for autoimmune diseases (which can suddenly pop up during or after pregnancy in women).

I would be more concerned about idiopathic thrombocytopenia than leukemia.

What was your platelet count when you had your blood tests?
The CBC (complete blood count) could not have missed an acute leukemia,
but you do not tell us your platelet count.
We on the internet are always at a disadvantage since your doctor has far more information than you can supply to us here. It is always best to ask your regular doctor who has all of your medical history, can do a complete physical examination, and has the results of all blood tests

A newborn could be causing it since babies keep you on your toes all the time, it might also be hormones or your body adjusting to not having the baby inside your body anymore. You are also producing milk most likely. You don't have leukemia.
