Chemotherapy is the standard treatment for many types of leukemia.

Different types of leukemia are best treated with different kinds of medicine. For example, Acute lymphoblastic leukemia drugs include prednisone, vincristine, daunorubicin, L-asparaginase or pegaspargase, methotrexate, and cyclophosphamide.

There are two types of oral chemo's. Gleevec and Sprycel. I have been taking Gleevec for 8 years now. If you have a child with leukemia, I wish you both all the best. Hang in there and take care.
