My grandma's dog died of leukemia. Please Help?!?
Have you ever had a dog with leukemia? ?Has it died? How did you deal with the loss? My grandmas dog just died from it. She lives alone and s extremely sad. How can I help her without making her feel worse...and get over the pain?

I had two cats who died w/in 3 mos of each other from leukemia.
It may take some time, just be there for her...allow her to talk about
her dog and her loss.
Eventually, suggest a new pet.

Talk to your grandma about all the funny things and naughty things that her dog did. I had a dog that had bone cancer and had to be put to sleep.

Pets die and it's never easy, but time will heal. Mabye do a picture collage for her, have it framed and hung up. Always good to have memories around. I think your visits will go a long way to helping ease her pain.
