These symptoms tend to vary greatly from person to person and depend on a number of things such as how advanced the cancer is etc.

I dont really know an average, but I can speak for my own symptoms. I was diagnosed with aml. The symptoms were up there near the 10 mark. Unfortunately, I had no idea I had cancer. I had been anemic all my life, and combined with thinking I was just over working myself, I dismissed all the symptoms. The bruising was probably the worst bruising I have ever had in my life (to the point that I had someone ask me if I was being abused, and they were serious). I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open - in fact I was falling asleep at work. My platelets were low so my gums were bleeding, but a dentist told me I had gingivitus, so I took antibiotics and dismissed that.
I had no choice but to go to the doctor after 3 weeks of heavy but non menstrual vaginal bleeding. The doc assumed the bleeding was from a miscarriage and in the process of blood work and pap tests, the gyno found the blood counts that suggested leukemia.
