Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia please help?
Hey, I'm writing a book AND doing a project for school about ALL. This subject really interests me and I wanted to ask a few questions, but I'll do that in another question. I have another account, so thank you if you've answered there, but if not, I want to know what it's like to go through ALL. I'm interested in the personal affects of it. I want to know how you found out you had it, what kind of symptoms you had, and what was going through your mind. Were you sad, depressed, worried, confused, angry...? I want to know. I understand this is a very difficult thing to go through and I want more people to know about it.
All answers will be very much appreciated. Thanks!
Jessica

Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a fast-growing cancer of the white blood cells. Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell that the body uses to fight infections. In ALL, the bone marrow makes lots of unformed cells called blasts that normally would develop into lymphocytes. However, the blasts are abnormal. They do not develop and cannot fight infections. The number of abnormal cells (or leukemia cells) grows quickly. They crowd out the normal red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets the body needs.
