Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia...?
I'm writing a book about someone with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.. she's only 18, but I wanted to hear some personal stories if you don't mind... I just want to know what it was like for you, your own personal symptoms, what kind of treatment you went through, who you connected to, people that gave you inspiration, what you were feeling during the whole thing, like if you were scared, worried, relieved it wasn't something else, angry, confused... I wanna know :)
And anything posted would be greatly appreciated because I understand this is a very hard thing to go through, and I want to hopefully spread the word about this.

my mom had leukemia so as no one has answered this i will i know its not the same but i hope it helps she was really ill she kept on getting thinner and thinner she went too hospital and the doctors said she had 4 days too live we never told my mom cos she was really upset a part of me thought that she knew she was going to die soon they put her on loads of medication and she first did not recongnise anyone then she was screaming and shouting at everyone on the third day she went into a comma and she was squeezing my hand i like too think she knew that we were there and on the 6th day she slipped away she lasted a day longer than expected she died in my arms
good luck with your book i hope it all goes well because people need too be more aware of the illness and what it does to the person and the familly

My 2 yr old daughter has ALL leukemia. She has been through so much. She gets her blood drawn twice a week, transfusions, chemo by pill and injections, injections at home. She gets pains in her legs from chemo and cant walk at times. She has no hair, she lost it about 3 weeks into her chemo. She will be in treatment for 2 1/2 years.
