What are the chances of leukemia to relapse ?

What are the chances of leukemia to relapse ?
I was diagnosed with ALL last september and achieved remission during the induction..this indicated that i don't need a bone marrow transplant unless i relapse..it might would be the last resort if someday does..can i make it through the 5 year survival without relapse ?

You're asking a very difficult question because remission can last for years and years for some, while for others, it's short term. I don't believe in the 5 yr survival rate anymore. I say, take it one day at a time and thank God you're in remission. If you worry about when your leukemia will return, you're robbing yourself of precious time you deserve. Enjoy your new life without chemo. Let tomorrow worry about itself. I'm so glad you are in remission.
