What is leukemia?
Leukemia is a type of cancer. Cancer is a group of many related diseases. All cancers begin in cells, which make up blood and other tissues. New cells form when the body does not need them, and old cells do not die when they should. Leukemia is cancer that begins in blood cells. Leukemia is a disease that affects blood-forming tissues, mainly bone marrow. Leukemia also affects the lymph glands and spleen. Leukemia causes the body to produce an extreme amount of abnormal white blood cells. This causes infections because the abnormal cells cannot stop infections like the normal cells do. Leukemia also causes anemia. Anemia is a disease in which the body makes less blood cell. This happens because the leukemic cells crowd the system. Leukemia also causes excessive bleeding. This happens because the amount of platelets will decrease and clotting will not occur, Researchers think a change in genetic structure causes leukemia. Changes in gene structure could be caused by environmental problems. Some of these problems could be: birth defects, radiation, viruses, and chemicals. Leukemia is not inherited and is not contagious. There are two major types of Leukemia, Lymphocytic and Granulocytic. In Lymphocytic Leukemia white blood cells known as Lymphocytes, which are made in the Lymph glands and bone marrow are abnormal or immature. In Granulocytic Leukemia this causes an increase in white blood cells known as granulocytes. Granulocytes are made in the bone marrow, and other tissue. Granulocytes that are affected by leukemia cannot fight of infections.
Diagnose for leukemia
There are a couple of ways to be diagnosed for leukemia. And they are….
Physical Exam: when a patient comes into the exam room to get a physical the doctor will look at any abnormal lumps or symptoms. And before the physical is started the doctor will asked if there is any leukemia history, risks factors, or symptoms then they will start the process.
Blood Tests: a (CBC) will be done because it can detect to see if that patient has leukemia. And when they are running these tests they are checking the WBC RBC and platelets. If the doctor can't get enough information on the blood test they will do a peripheral blood smear. A peripheral blood smear can determine the type and quantity of the white blood cells.
Biopsy: they will remove some cells from the body to be examined for cancer. Bone marrow is also a biopsy and will be done to determine for leukemia.
Lumbar Puncture: it is when you puncture the lumbar or spinal tap to determine leukemia. A small amount of spinal fluid is removed from the spaces between the vertebrae in the spine and then it will be examine by a pathologist.
And there could be others such as CT scans, X-Rays, MRI's, and ultrasounds.
Treatment for leukemia
Leukemia can thus be treated by way of ensuring that the body increases the White blood cells count. Leukemia can also be treated just by use of the same methods as used to treat cancer.
Chemotherapy is one such way, though this may take too much time. In fact, treatment using this method can take a period of not less than two years.
The whole reason for treatment is to destroy the leukemia cells and it helps allow normal cells to form in your bone morrow. Treatments can only be determine on the type and subtype the leukemia is and the age and your healthy. You can get chemotherapy to fight the cancer but it is only used in acute leukemia but can be used in leukemia.
Symptoms for leukemia
The symptoms for leukemia it all depends on how much leukemia has grown in the body.
·Fever and night sweats
·Frequent or unusual infections
·Weakness
·Headaches
·Easy bruising of the skin
·Bone and joint pain
·Swollen in the lymph nodes
·Appetite and weight loss
·Blood clotting is poor because of the immature WBC are crowed out blood platelets are crucial in blood clotting because if you have slow blood clotting you could bleed too much and your cuts heal real slow.
·Affected immune systems because the WBC is crucial because if you don't have white blood cells you will not be able to fight off any infection.
·Anemia if you have shortage of red blood cells you have a high level of getting difficult in respiration or possibly end of will pale skin (light skin) caused by being ill.
·And there are other symptoms and they could be nausea, have chills, fever.
What causes leukemia?
Scientists are hard at work trying to determine the underlying causes of leukemia. Scientists know that leukemia occurs in males more often than in females and in white people more often than in black people. However,

You were writing a little fast in this section: "And before the physical is started the doctor will asked if there is any leukemia history, risks factors, or symptoms then they will start the process." Note your second way: "semicolon, Medical History:" before the quote, and be aware of using a complete sentence structure there.
It appears you did okay on this in the rest of the pages.

You don't know if you plagiarized any sections or not? I find that unlikely.
