Leukemia Symptoms in Children?

Leukemia Symptoms in Children?
Anyone have experience with childhood leukemia? I am looking for signs that might put up a red flag to take a child to the Dr. I realize that chances are it is usually something else but still would like to know what others experienced with it. I have a 5 year old son that I am just worried about and so far Dr's say he just keeps getting a virus but he is having bone pain, fevers, his asthma keeps acting up, headaches, tummy aches....just not feeling well at all and just seems to keep getting worse since probably mid-June.
I just don't know what to do anymore. CBC in July was normal but the pain and everything continues to get worse. At first I was told maybe growing pains but then the pain continued to get worse lasting all day and has fevers with it. He is just so tired and grumpy all the time but the pain now wakes him up at night. I have to watch the pain meds because they just make his tummy hurt worse. His hair started falling out and finally it is regrowing but is so patchy I have to keep his hair long and combed over bald spots.

I don't have the experience with it but I can share something about it with you.Leukemia is a type of cancer of the blood or bone marrow that is characterized by an abnormal increase of white blood cells. This means people with leukemia may easily become bruised, bleed excessively, or develop pinprick bleeds. Because leukemia prevents the immune system from working normally, some patients experience frequent infection, ranging from infected tonsils, sores in the mouth, or diarrhea to life-threatening pneumonia or opportunistic infections. Some patients experience other symptoms. These symptoms might include feeling sick, such as having fevers, chills, night sweats and other flu-like symptoms, or feeling fatigued. Some patients experience nausea or a feeling of fullness due to an enlarged liver and spleen; this can result in unintentional weight loss. Finally, the red blood cell deficiency leads to anemia, which may cause dyspnea and pallor. Finally, the red blood cell deficiency leads to anemia, which may cause dyspnea and pallor.

I would suggest you to take your child to the hospital for the test as soon as possible If you can see these symptoms. It happened with my daughter a year ago n the GPs were telling me that she is alrite. GPs are not the right people to go for. After 4 months of strugle i was able to find its leukemia. The symptoms you r telling r of a great concern.
There r some more symptoms such as loss of apetite.
