Baby Molly in "Clinical Remission"
Dave Campbell is all smiles as he holds his daughter, Molly. From BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, he shared some great news about baby Molly on his blog. ""Her bone marrow is only producing about 3% Leukemia cells. We were just told that anything under 5% is considered to be in clinical remission." Molly was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia on Christmas even. Treatment began right away. Since Molly's diagnosis, the family has learned a lot about cancer and how generous perfect strangers can be. Family friends put the call out to the community and have watched in amazement as people rally around Molly." I never imagined that the number of people that have come to the website and given good wishes would come," says family friend Paul Pearson, "There are thousands of people every day who go to that website, check her progress and send, most importantly positive wishes to this family." There have been countless fundraisers. Someone even offered the family of seven a house in Vancouver so they could all be by Molly's side. But the optimism sweeping social media and David Campbell's blog is dampened only by the fact that baby Molly must now fight even harder. She started a second round of chemotherapy today. "The bad news is the chemotherapy now becomes more serious and more harsh because they know that it's working so they step it up," says Pearson. "She is alive today and we want to continue that and she has the community to thank for the parent's strength and her ...
