what would YOU do in this situation?

what would YOU do in this situation?
okay so iam reading this book, maybe you have heard of it? My sisters keeper?
here is a basic synopsis of the book:Anna is not sick, but she might as well be. By age thirteen, she has undergone countless surgeries, transfusions, and shots so that her older sister, Kate, can somehow fight the leukemia that has plagued her since childhood. The product of preimplantation genetic diagnosis, Anna was conceived as a bone marrow match for Kate - a life and a role that she has never questioned… until now. Like most teenagers, Anna is beginning to question who she truly is. But unlike most teenagers, she has always been defined in terms of her sister - and so Anna makes a decision that for most would be unthinkable… a decision that will tear her family apart and have perhaps fatal consequences for the sister she loves. My Sister's Keeper examines what it means to be a good parent, a good sister, a good person. Is it morally correct to do whatever it takes to save a child's life… even if that means infringing upon the rights of another? Is it worth trying to discover who you really are, if that quest makes you like yourself less?
okay so my question to YOU is if you were a mother with a sick child what would you do?would you make another child(and ruin her life) for the sake of the first one?

I think that if it someone is sick, then you can try to help them. However, if nothing works, and you've said your prayers etc etc..., and it is their time, then it is not right to take someone else's life (even if they are not fully taking it.) If its their time, then it is their time, of its not, then maybe it would be right.

That is a really hard one. i would have to say she is not the best mother in the world. but then again.. uhh yeah idk this is very hard. if i were a mother and had this problem i wouldnt have a baby to help my other child out. idk i just dont see the point in having another child jsut t okill her.. or w.e im not really sure i want to see that movie or read the book but i havent had time so i dont really know what happens lol. sorry if this doesnt help but i wouldnt do it if i was a mother.

For a mother who is having a sick child her only aim in life is to save her living daughter.she won't be concerned about anything and give birth to another for saving the first. Now she would be cursing herself for giving birth to her second daughter and bringing her to this miserable condition.this is how it works

I am strongly opposed to savior siblings. If it never went beyond donating the cord blood from the pregnancy, it would be no big deal. But to be a match for a bone marrow transplant, you have to be almost an exact dna match. And sick children tend to stay sick. Savior siblings, more often than not, spend their entire child hood, if not life, donating blood or marrow or other organs to their sibling.

Many parents go into it figuring... oh, well, its just this one thing, and we wanted to have another child anyways, so why not? And the thought comes from a good place. I dont think any of these parents intend to do anything wrong or bad, or even think it could end up badly. They are thinking they are loving parents, dont want their sick child to die and will welcome another life.

But thats the fairy tale.
