Depends what group of ppl you are talking about. With pediatric patients, all is most common. With elderly cml is most common. I think with most young adults to middle age aml is most common. I am unsure where cll is most common at, if it is at all, probably in elderly bc of the chronic factor.
And there ARE possible cures. Sometimes chemo does it, but often requires a bone marrow or stem cell tranpslant. The survival rate of the cancer itself and the treatment is statistically based on age and overall otherwise health.

I was 16 when I was diagnosed with AML. now I am 18 and in remission after having a bone marrow transplant.

Hello, I don't think there is a most common type for everyone. I know that ALL is more common in children, that's what my son has. I also know that AML seems to be more common in adults because I know several that have it. I can also tell you that children have a better chance of survival with ALL and adults with the AML, but not the other way around. The other two forms of leukemia I can't help you with I don't know much about them.
Leukemia — Comprehensive overview covers symptoms, causes, risk factors, treatment of this blood-related cancer.
