how common are cancers in toddlers?
I am starting to realize all these cancers that are common in toddlers. I have seen shows with people who have leukemia and my son is at that age, and I feel like it could happen to him...has it happened to you, what were the beginning symptoms, should I even stress so bad? He just got over bronchitis and had a fever for a week and is bruising easily

Not sure of the specific statistics, but I do know that it is way more common than we all like to think it is. I think we all know at least one family that has dealt with this or is currently facing this horrible situation. Please support the search for a cure!

i worry about that a lot, too.
easy bruising can just be a sign of anemia, which is cured by more iron intake.
try not to dwell on it...that's all i can say. there are so many things to worry about...try not to waste your time.

I know a toddler who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. I've done a lot of reading and started making some changes to reduce my family's risk. We ingest, breath, and absorb through our skin many toxins that contribute to cancer. We cannot eliminate all of them, but we can reduce our exposure and try to make our bodies healthy enough to get rid of toxins and maintain healthy cells.
I've switched to natural baby wash/shampoo. The non-natural ones which most people use contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate and other chemicals that can cause cancer. Also switched to plant-based cleaners, soaps, and laundry detergent. I choose organic and minimally processed food whenever I can. And I also try to reduce the number of things in the house that give off VOCs.
I use the book, A Cancer Battle Plan Sourcebook, as a guide.
Leukemia — Comprehensive overview covers symptoms, causes, risk factors, treatment of this blood-related cancer.
