Serious Leukemia related Question?

Serious Leukemia related Question?
I was preparing to undergo a bone marrow transplant for my brother. However, prior to the transplant his leukemia relapsed. This had been his third relapse so his options are running low. We were offer a spot in a clinical study by Genzyme Corp. This work for a while, but then his leukemic cells spread to his brain and we were unable to continue the study.

The problem is that half of my brother's leukemic cells are Philadelphia + and the other half are not. These meant that while one chemo worked, the other leukemia spread.

These remissions often happen within a single week. Right now out options are to proceed with a transplant with a 5% success, wait a month for a neural chemo, or allow him peace. My family is lending towards transplant because it is the only thing we can do.

My questions are what do you think about this? Is this a rare form of Leukemia? What should we do? Also I am having trouble with the fact that my marrow could possibly harm him, and I could handle that.

What does your brother want? That is the only question right now that is important.

But somehow, he got up enough energy to hang out and play.....at least for a little while.
