How often do bleeding gums mean leukemia?
My boyfriend says that every time he brushes lately he bleeds a lot from his gums. They don't hurt at all and he has not switched toothbrushes or anything like that. It came on suddenly a few days ago. About a month ago he had pain in his arm as well. How likely is it that he may have leukemia?

it's not too likely.
Bleeding Gums is VERY common.
My mom is a dentist so i know a lot about this stuff.
It is possible he might have an infection in his mouth or there is some food or something stuck under there that is irritating it.
The arm pain is probably just a coincidence.
Dont worry!
If it continues for a while then i might suggest seeing a doctor but im sure its all fine

I had similar thing to my gum and it end up to be that I needed cleaning for my teeth badly. after doing it, just a week or two, it has gone... also mouth smell became much better...
so I suggest to see a dentist before jumping into conclusions

It is more likely to be gum disease. I had it. Have him see a dentist. My son had leukemia and never had bleeding gums.

he should see a dentist could be periodontal disease, I had it at 18 and they need to thoroughly clean the gums
