How do i know if i have Osteochondroma or Osteosarcoma?
I want to know for sure...
The doctor thinks i have Osteochondroma.. but says he cannot know if it is cancer until it is out of my body, but doesn't that mean it is Osteosarcoma?

The only way of telling the difference is pathology tests.

They will remove this tumour and then it will be sent to a lab for study and testing and they will determine which it is.

- JLI
The two tumors look different in a microscope. When the tumor is removed (or a sample (biopsy) it is taken), it will be processed in such a way, that it is possible for a pathologist to look at the cells under a microscope, and arrive at the correct diagnosis.
