Leukemia is a type of cancer. That's like saying you can spread cancer to other people through the air. AIDS, unless you're planning to get down low and intimate with your cat, you shouldn't need to even ask.

EDIT: I knew it, you accidentally the cat, the whole thing! You sick fcuks!

Yes, both feline leukaemia and feline aids are contagious. Feline aids can be spread through sexual contact, but it is mainly spread through cat fights (biting scratching etc) high levels of this virus are in the actual saliva of the cat.

Feline leukaemia is a virus which comes from all bodily excretions (saliva, faeces, urine, etc) again high levels are found in the salia and mutual grooming is the main method of transmission which leads to infection by oral route.

To make sure your other cats will be fine, get a pre vaccination testing for leukaemia and make sure they are up to dates on their shots.

Put their bedding in the washing machine and put items which they have had contact with in the sink in some disinfectant to kill the germs, they should be fine but they really should avoid contact with items the kitty you had to put down had contact with.

Not only doesn't the first comment read the question, he doesn't answer it correctly.

even if you got down and dirty with your cat, Feline AIDS is not contagious to humans. Just like HIV is not contagious to other animals.

I agree with the second person.
